So let's say fuel is $3.50 per gallon. I get 4% rebate on my CC, that is .14 so WHY should I pay cash???
That's assuming you pay off the credit card immediately and don't pay interest. It's just common sense-if the discount is better, pay cash. If not, use credit but make sure you pay it off.
Even if they do it doesn't add up to a hill of beans. You're better off just looking for the cheapest gas.
X2. Of course this is also dependent on what size fuel tank you have and how fuel efficient your vehicle is. If you have to go 50 miles out of your way then you've spent more than you've saved. It's like adding extra miles to get out of paying a toll.
