Disposing of old 2 cyle mixed gasoline

I have about 1 gallon of old (1 yr) gasoline that is mixed with 2 cycle oil... I have no more items that use this fuel.. How or where do I dispose of it legally? None of my neighbors have 2 stroke engines so no one to give it to..I live in the city so can't burn it, I won't pour it on ground, local hazmat facility won't take it, and fire dept has no clue.. How have you SAFELY disposed of old gasoline?

your truck will burn the oil mixture much better than your lawn mower will

Oh come on, that Chebby is probably flex-fuel anyway! That means it can handle most anything.:C Don't forget, most oils used to mix for small engines have stabilizer in them, so gas will still be good too.

poor it in the gas tank of one of your vehicles

the results are NO different than, adding some 'top oil' gasoline additive from the parts store

will not hurt your car, truck or RV
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

I would worry about the oil contaminating the catalytic converter. Small engine is fine. No concern about the age of the fuel.

I'd shake it up and mix it good, put in my vehicle and run it. I've run 5 year old gasoline before, no biggie. Just don't fill the tank with it. ๐Ÿ™‚ And double check for any water in it. One gallon in 20 gallons you'll be fine.

I mix year old gas (w/Stabil) into one of our cars 1 5 gallon can at a time with no issues. This is our emergency gas supply for our home generator. When it gets a year old then I replace it. Have 2 5 gallon gas cans and 3 gallons in the generator tank.

I will then fill up the car gas tank full to dilute the old gas.

I would put it in a mower or other small engine. At work, we frequently run out of regular gas for our mowers and in a pinch I have used pre-mixed 2 cycle gas to get by.

Agree. Just pour it in your truck gas tank and burn it. It will work fine.

X3 - it won't hurt your vehicle in the least. Have done it several times over the years.

Most cities and counties in our state have hazardous waste disposal methods for citizens. Iโ€™ll bet Washington does too.
