Checkout Garmin's Smartphone link:
https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/pn/010-00SPL-AP
With that installed on your GPS, you can connect the GPS to your smartphone and get a lot of "premium" services like live weather and traffic update, traffic cams, parking, etc. (at extra cost). - bigred1cavExplorerHelp! - dkreuzenExplorerIf you have a Garmin GPS with lifetime maps then BaseCamp if the best option as the maps get updated 3-4 times a year. BaseCamp is a bit different but once you figure it out it works very good for routing. I deleted all my other mapping programs (S&T, Street Atlas, etc.) and now use BaseCamp and Google Earth exclusively.
- imgoin4itExplorerI still use the old Streets and trips for the "big picture" routing, ie town to town etc. I then use an up to date Garman GPS for what I call the refined portion of the planning for specific routing, RV parks , attractions along the way etc. Works for me. Just about the same way I used to use streets and trips anyway.
- FizzExplorerThey must have fixed that problem because S&T reads my GPS dongle also.
It never use to. Not the best yet because I'm deep in the house on my desktop and it's still searching for a satellite, it's always been poor in doing that.
In the past the GPS could not be found period.
oops...
just got a signal.
It did pin point my house so I assume it's good to go on the road.
Got a fix on five satellites and the house is moving at a steady 2kph :) - austinjennaExplorer
The software runs fine, but what broke was the USB puck GPS receiver that came bundled with some versions no long works. I use a Bluetooth GPS receiver that works well.
If you mean the small square GPS device that came with S&T, mine works on windows 10 as well along with the program. - Tom_M1Explorer

S&T 2013 works just fine on my Windows 10 system - austinjennaExplorer
The big issue with S&T is this: If you use windows 10. Microsoft BROKE IT.

Alas I can not give you the URL for the company. 12 dollars when I got it. - Ro646aExplorer IIThere must be a lot more to Google Maps than I realized. I will better acquaint myself with it.
Thank you all for the help.
