- TothillExplorerHappened in our family. Uncle's cancer went into his bones and aunt would not drive the rig. Step brother had to take a week off work, fly down, get aunt and uncle onto a plane and drive the rig back.
We both can and do drive our RV.
We have friends who bought a 36 foot 5er and had it delivered to a seasonal site in Palm Desert. They have never pulled it anywhere. It stays on the site year round, they drive back and forth towing their little Big Foot trailer behind the Tahoe. - frankdampExplorerMy wife can't drive our motor-home. Her feet don't touch the floor, thanks to the ridiculously oversize and damned uncomfortable Flexsteel seats, combined with the pitifully small range of adjustment to the steering column on the F53.
Our "get us home" plan is a one-way airline ticket for our recently-retired son-in-law from Seattle to wherever we're stuck, then he can drive us home. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIGood Sams may be able to help you ... I (Some years ago) Bought a membership in MASA (Mediacal Air Services Assn I think) and they will pay a professional driver to drive your rig home if you should be sick, injured or die "on the road".. In fact they paid for the gas for ME to drive it home when my wife died.
They also pay to fly you (or your body or ashes) home on one of their private jets.
Oh, and if you are in an accident, or if you take sick and need to travel by ambulance.. They will pay whatever part of the ambulance bill your regular health insurance fails to cover.
I know of no better policy. Mine was a single payment plan, I think they now sell by the month. - CroweExplorerIf you are traveling alone, the above options are definitely available. If you have someone with you, my suggestion is that s/he learns how to drive the unit should you become incapacitated.
- GemstoneExplorerYou could also reach out to fellow RV'ers to help in an emergency...for the price of a background check and an air ticket home for the "borrowed" driver, you could have a solution.
Regards
Gemstone - dons2346ExplorerIf you belong to FMCA, there are volunteers that will drive your motorhome home for you. Of course, you pay for fuel.

- TucsonJimExplorer IIGood Sam offers one such solution. I'm sure other companies do to. I signed up for the Good Sam policy due to concerns about ongoing health issues I have. My wife can't drive the RV back if something happened to me, so GS will cover that.
Good Sam Travel Assist - downtheroadExplorerI guess if that happened to me, I'd put it in a secure storage facility. RV storage yards are everywhere and they range from an open dirt lot to large, heated, lockable garages.
