Equal-i-zer interchangeable parts?

So my current standard shank doesn't have a sufficient drop for my trailer. Shame on me, I didn't figure out until tonight and we leave Sunday morning. Local dealer has a Husky brand shank with enough drop for me. The holes are the right spacing. Is their any reason NOT to buy the Husky shank to work with my Equal-i-zer hitch?
  • Got the Husky shank this morning. Size and weight capacity were the same. Got it installed this morning and got my trailer out of the driveway just fine. Thanks again for the help fellas!!!
  • Awesome guys, thank you so much! I have a steep driveway and with the ball lowered all the way on the current hitch, the rear of the trailer was dragging... and it hadn't even bottomed out yet. I need to drop the ball at least another 2" to hopefully get the tail to clear the driveway.

Bought the truck Tuesday night, worked all week and didn't have a chance to even test it until after work today and it wasn't even close to clearing. No local dealer has my brand in stock, but I found the Husky. I hope to go first thing in the morning and buy it and try it out... fingers crossed!!!
  • I have an Equalizer with another brand shank. Works fine!
  • As long as the hole spacing is the same, you should be good to go. I had to get an aftermarket shank for my E2 for the same reason. I've had no problems whatsoever.
