The OP clearly bought from a local dealer. To have expectations for that dealer to treat him properly after the sale, especially for warranty work, is perfectly reasonable. This thread had nothing to do with buying many miles from home then going somewhere else for service. How you took that to be a matter of inconvenience is beyond me, except for the fact that you wish to be argumentative....... As I stated.

Since I asked the question, I guess I'd have to say that it's you that missed the point of it, Paul. I'd buy according to best deal, and get warranty service where most convenient, that's all. It may well be that the O.P. doesn't even know that's an option. I didn't!
