If you want a better view of where the fires are - go to this link and then zoom OUT. It is centered on the Methow Valley in the North Cascades but you can zoom out to see all of the Northwest (even more).
You'll be able to pinpoint where the fires are and know which direction the winds are blowing.
Hope none of you are close enough to deal with the smoke.

There was a big pile up of semi's and cars near the Vantage bridge on I-90 in central Washington late this afternoon. Something like 24 vechicles smacked into each other due to low visibility (dust and smoke). That section of road will be closed until sometime tomorrow but they have a detour going around that section.

I've added the ARCGIS home page to my Favorites list. Lots of good real time travel info on there.
