First ever flat tire on any of my campers.

It finally happened! I had my first ever flat tire on my camper, any camper, I've ever owned.

I have Carlisle tires, about a year and a half old, so kind of bummed out now. BUT, happy the tire went flat in my driveway!

Turned out to be a nail, right smack in the middle of the tread.

Next neighbor over brought his tire plug kit and plugged it for me. Didn't even have to take the wheel off the hub, was able to reach it just fine. He's one of those farmers where I live and they have those tire repair kits for servicing, even those gigantic manmouth monster tractor tires on their tractors and such.

Because I didn't have to take the tire off, it took every bit of 5 minutes for him to plug it. It took longer to blow the tire back up than anything.

So, if it had to happen, I'm glad it went down in the driveway and not on the road! I do have a suspicion where I picked up the nail. It was a gravel parking lot last week-end when we stopped for a potty break. The lot was the parking lot for a manufacturing facotry. Not sure what they do there, but it was pretty rustic.

Lesson learned! Never pull into factory parking lots for potty breaks! You never know what lays on the ground!

And ... so far, the tire is holding pressure at 80 psi. No leaks in 24 hours now.
