Fishing bridge campground

Planning my trip to Yellowstone. Was wondering if anybody has stayed at fishing Bridge Campground in a 40-foot plus fifthwheel. Website says spaces are limited for over sized rigs in Campground and sites are narrow. Our fifth wheel is just closer to 41 foot

Don't leave it to chance. Call in to the reservations people to make sure they have a spot that fits your rig. When reserving spots in national parks, I don't rely on the online reservation system.

When we stayed at Fishing Bridge sites were paint strips on the pavement

I called and reserved a 45ft? Site. It may have been 40ft I'll have to double check. The long sites are limited. I reserved my site for July 2017 in May of 2016. I'm sure they are all spoken for!

Call directly for a big rig. Don't rely on the reservation site. Yes, there are some big rig sites. Reserve early.

We stayed there with our 39' fifth wheel and really didn't have too much trouble getting parked. Plenty of room beside our trailer for the truck. It was on a slope so puddling shouldn't be a problem.

The sites are narrow so don't plan on spending a lot of time sitting around the campsite, just not a lot of room once you put the truck in place. But you don't really go to Yellowstone to stay around the campground anyway, so pretty much a non-issue.

There was a site on the end of the run near where we stayed that was accommodating a huge class A which I am sure would be suitable. Maybe check the sites out on Google Earth and then request what you want way in advance. I wouldn't rely on their assignment of sites based on your length. I barely got into my site and had to park the truck under the bedroom slide as there was no other room. I also had to tie back the branches on a tree to get in the door. If you are going in the fall bring rubber boots as the CG really puddles up when it rains.
