Fishing

How about some fishing reports from RVers along the Gulf Coasts?
Probably a bit early for most on the Atlantic or Pacific?

The part where I am, of course. :C. Longboat Key. Lots of catch and release but I assumed the OP was after catch and fillet, as were the gents I spoke with.

  • crappie spawn and white bass run is on in northeast texas. perfect for the bank fishers!
  • What part of Gulf Coast ? It is 12 or 15 hundred miles long . We fish in the Florida panhandle from Ochlocknee Bay east to St Marks lighthouse . Lots of shallow water fishing from kayaks for rd and sea trout . Beautiful today and the fish were luckier than we were .
  • Grand Isle in Louisiana and the area of the Rigolets is getting good and will get better as the water warms a little. Brown
shrimp will be running soon so it will steadily pick up.
Speckled trout, redfish, flounder, Spanish mackerel and crabs. Yummmmm!
  • I cant not understand why the folks over at the aquarium got so mad when I walked in with my rod and reel, they have all those fish and they do not let you fish.

    What's the problem?

Dang now I have to fishing at Walmart, Costco the supermarket, those bitee real well!

  • Asked 3 guys coming off the FL Gulf beach this morning how it went. Response: "Been lousy all season, but you can't beat the weather".

  • Fishing along the coast is always good. Catching might be an issue.
