AAA does offer some nice paper maps. Not meaning to throw water on the campfire but: The directory is not "really free" as you paid for it in fees, otherwise you might get the service for less. Is it a comprehensive camping guide? Previous AAA camping guides omitted a significant number of campsites...especially non-member campsites. I just received the Southern California AAA contract (my son is till a member...he only has a car) and even with the RV supplement service is questionable. When not in an area that has RV coverage you may have to pay up front and submit the bill for "acceptable reimbursement". Just saying.
