Generator cooling air flow (VERY HOT)
Sitting at Daytona waiting for the races to start. (Anyone else here ?)
Gotta run the Gen. a LOT for the AC.
I noticed that the cooling airflow is making a brown spot in the grass.
This gives rise to a couple of concerns:
Could this cooling airflow get the grass SO hot that it catches fire ?
Second, it occurs to me that most of this hot air is accumulating up under the carriage of the RV unless there is a stiff wind. Since there probably isn't a lot of bottom insulation and there ARE air holes around pipes and things.....I wonder if this hot air isn't warming the floor and fighting the AC.
I plan to build a folding deflector to direct this air out to the side of the RV. Has anyone else done this ? Is a ready made product available ??
