i've owned a Honda 2000w for years and love it.

but if i was to buy something today, i'd get the Champion 3100w inverter gennie or a pair of their 2000w inverter generators or a pair of the new Smarter Tools 2000w inverter generators sold at Costco.
the last two can be paralled and the whole package would run around $1200.

Don't have a favorite among the portable units as we have an onboard Onan, but to run 13.5K AC unit you will need to get a pair of 2K units and parallel them or a hardy 3K unit to ensure reliable operation of AC in higher elevations. Of course Honda and Yamaha are the most popular portable generators here on the forum, but Champion inverter generators are building a good following and at their price point is a good choice for those who intend to use their generator sparingly.

Only a few months old but now have 300+ hours on it
Not hard to do at 4 hours per day..
It has been flawless so far and runs one A/C unit
I just make sure my batteries are charged up, before I run the A/C
Our converter is wfco 68100, deck mount 100 amps charge,
But yours isn't that big

pair of hondas or yamahas 2 K's if your going to run AC, two hondas work for us during our stays at the beach running the AC also very quite for us and our fellow near by campers. may cost a bit more but well worth the cost.

Got a Costco 2k generator for a long weekend at Pismo. The onan 5.5k would run the inverter/charger at 150 amps (its max)(in the morning), the 2k would have to be throttled to ~100 amps. I ended up running the onan until the charge current dropped to about 75 amps, then switched to the Costco generator for a few hours. The onan is a lower, bass noise, then Costco is a higher pitch. The Costco generator burned about 1/4 the fuel as the onan, but even on the beach at 5 feet, wouldn't start the 15k ac.

If you want to run a 13.5K AC, you should have at least 3000 watts IMO. My Honda EU2000 would start and run the 13.5K AC on my old trailer but it screamed at full throttle when doing so. I tried it out only as a test and would not run the AC for any length of time with a 2000 watt genny.

I'd buy a remote start 3KW unit. Probably a Honda.
