Glue remover

Does anyone know of a good sticky stuff remover that will not harm rubber? I am trying to repair a seal on one of my slides. I am removing something similar to eternabond but it is thinner and it is leaving a really sticky film.

The roof material on the slide is the same as the roof EPDM. All the removers I have checked like goo gone says not to use on rubber and the ones I have like black streak remover, simple green and alcohol has no affect.

your help is appreciated.

  • This is my weapon of choice. Can be had at most auto parts stores. I take off a lot of decals in my line of work and this is the ****.

  • Thanks for the info. gentlemen. I have some of that but it never crossed my mind to use it to remove goo.

    Thanks again

My go to for removing goo on any surface is mineral spirits. A little on a rag and rub. A little more on the rag as needed. I've never found anything this damaged or didn't work on.
