My truck broke down today. Called the good sam number on my card and within 20 minutes my truck was loaded and ready to go. Not to the nearest garage, but home. That cost "no more tows today"

The whole experience was less complicated than ordering a coffee at MacDonalds. Thank you Good Sam's.

I have GS Platinum ERS. I'm very grateful for every year that goes buy that I don't have to use it. I don't mind one bit writing the check each year for piece of mind.

I used GS last year when I locked my TV keys in the truck. GS response was much better than the DW's.

I have used GS twice in the 15 years we have had them. Once with the car locally and once with the truck and 5er 25 miles west of Glendale, MT. in Oct. of '13. Only issue was the long wait in Mt. because of it being a small town area. Great garage people to work with where the truck was taken. They even pulled our 5er to a local campground for us and loaned us one of their trucks to get around for a day while they troubleshoot truck. We finished our trip west in a rental car and truck was ready by noon the following Monday.

I have used GSRS 3 times in the past 4 years, 2 times great, once not so great but the not so great one should become ok once I get my reimbursement check. I hope ! ! ! Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !

I haven't any roadside service for over 40 years. So I have over $2500 to tow anyplace I want and probably have money left over.
Never needed a tow either.

Since Good Sam switched their ERS call center contract to Allstate Motor Club a few years back, the complaint level appears to have been noticeably lower than it was with Road America and the others. I'll stick with Coach-Net for now, but if there are any detrimental changes, GS/Allstate would be my second choice.

I had GS roadside service for 10 years. Always had a good experience with my service calls. Also like the feature where they call you to make sure the service arrived on time.

From where? How far? Coachnet does not have a "tow where you want" option. I asked them for clarification on this. If I'm 75 miles from home and the nearest facility is 5 miles, that's where you go. "Nearest authorized repair facility". Unless your friend payed it out of his pocket?

Thanks for posting your positive experience. We read so many negative threads and it is nice to know someone else, besides myself, has been satisfied.

True, GS, Coachnet, AAA, etc, don't tow vehicles, third parties do and the wait time and experience can be hit and miss with all. Good to hear you had a good experience this time. I believe also you can pay for your level of desired service, ie, tow to nearest garage, unlimited, etc.

Thanks for posting this. My AAA expires at the end of the month and I'm probably going to try GSRA for exactly the reason you posted. I can get towed where ever I want, and if I'm close to home, that's where I want to be towed. Coachnet won't do that.

I don't know. Sometimes I think brain surgery is less complicated than ordering coffee at Micky D's. Especially at the drive thru.

Glad to hear you had good results with GSRA. We usually only see complaints.
