I think Good Sam have threw the Good Sams Chapters away. We use to get the Highway Mag, I know us old people still get it three times a year in one of there other Mag. not nearly as good as it use to be. But the new people are not aware of it and I don't think they are offered the Mag How many other things Good Sam use to offer there members like Garbage bags when chapters take on the clean up at different public places. Certificate for length of membership to Chapters. We have had the question come up at our chapter what does Good Sam do for us other than the 10% at Good Sam parks here lately all the parks are giving the 10& with out the Good Sam membership.

The bean counters are in charge.

They are maximizing short term profits by getting rid of stuff that costs money, like national rallies and support for state chapters, while ignoring the sometimes hard to quantify positive impact those things have on the bottom line.

As a past chapter president and life member, I feel that the Good Sam organization is forgetting its roots. With out the rvers the chapter members the Good Sam organization would never be what it is today.

The Good Sam organization keeps taking away support for the State organization. Fist the national rallies ended now the state are getting less and less help to run their rallies. All of this with CW making money hand over fist.

I think its time to take a very close look at the Good Sam organization and the direction its going in. This has to be done by RVers not the head of organizations. If the Good Sam organizaiton as a whole wants to keep its roots in the camping chapters and whats behind it, it needs to reinvent it, and soon.

I used to be proud to say I was a member of Good Sam, not so much now.

To the current management of Good Sam Enterprises the club is nothing but a flock of sheep to be regularly fleeced by Camping World, GS insurance, GS ERS, GS travel assist, and etc.

Marcus Lemonis has said as much.

Fortunately we have a great state GS organization that gets little to no help from the national. We have three Samborees per year with a great group of officers and other volunteers.

If I wasn't already a life member and if I wasn't active at the local chapter, I would not be a member.

That is the reason that many GS chapters have left the Good Sams organization and are flying on their own. Good Sams chapter membership has nothing to offer other than watching the big wigs running around on vacation at the membership expense. Our chapter is now a private club, and is doing fine and saving the membership fees. We still carry a current Good Sams card, and use it for whatever discounts we can use. In most cases, we have other discounts that are better anyway.
