Gooseneck or Reese hitch?
Our new Gas 2 wheel drive F-350 will be able to tow 12,400 max loaded trailer weight and has a payload of 4,420lbs (the 5'er we are considering would have a gvwr of under 2k lbs. and gvwr of less than 11,900 lbs. Based on that....
I hear that gooseneck can't tow as much as a Reese hitch, but if the max tow for a gooseneck is about what our gross tow rating for the truck is anyhow, does it come down to which one would make the towing and hookup easier on the driver?
The Ford dealer can install either the ball for the gooseneck or the Reese. What can others share here that can help us decide which one to consider?
Thanks
