Grimmy Exterior Detailing Questions

I have a 2003 C Class Winnebago Minnie. It has sat under a car port for years. However the exterior is still very grimy and dirty. It's too cold to do yet but I hope to detail it once it warms up. It has areas where it looks like green moss is starting to grow. There are areas of a grey crusty type moss. There is a spot that appears to be mold and then there are a few rust stains.

Can these types of issues be removed from an exterior and what chemicals and techniques would be needed to remove them?
  • Basically sounds like a good detergent, little bleach and a bunch of elbow grease. I have a pressure washer too so between all that I should be able to get it back to some form of clean.

Don't even get me started on the interior. It was over run by mice.. Not much chewing damage from what I can see but a lot of mouse poop and the smell that goes with it. Already hit all surfaces with that Clorox Cleaning stuff but the smell came back right away.. Guessing the carpet needs a good shampooing. They had even gotten into the AC duct work and had a hay day. Fixed that quick with a leaf blower. They are spick and span now... Next will be the heating ducts. I haven't been able to access the end I want to use to blow them out with. Maybe once it warms up.

    Thanks for the help guys.
  • I bought a trailer once that had sat for years under some trees. To get all the mold/moss off I washed it with a strong detergent, bleach, and a large brush. The aluminum siding cleaned up great, sold it in a month for double what I paid.
  • Zep Orange cleaner from Home Depot. It will remove all that stuff and even black streaks.
I've been using it for many years on my rv.
  • Gosh! You need to start using that RV!! You might want to take it to a professional for thorough cleaning. Most likely, the inside needs it, also.
  • For rust stains use a small amount of Softscrub on a wet rag. Just work it off a little at a time.

For everything else use Voom cleaner diluted in hot water, and a wand with a pad on the end. It's made for RV surfaces and does a great job. For the heavy moss you might need a little elbow grease.
