For various reasons I do not favor the death penalty. For one thing the rational is "If they have death to fear the criminal will think twice" is false. If the criminal was thinking of anything other than how smart he is and how he'll never get caught. He's not pull the crime, Since he'll never get caught (in his mind) there is no penalty at all.
However I DO favor an arc welder.
