GUILTY verdict in Murder of couple in their RV

I'm not normally in favor of the death penalty but in this case::::::

That being said, as someone who has had a family member murdered, I kind of agree with mlts22. Death ends all worry and suffering, while LIFE in prison means a lifetime to think about what you have done. When I think about my Uncle's murderer, I like to imagine him lonely, miserable, thinking about that day -- and wishing each and every moment that he'd made a different choice. In some ways, that really IS more of a punishment than death.

Maybe, this assumes the criminal has remorse. Most do not. The only remorse they have is getting caught.

The car brothers were convicted of murder,served there sentence were released and shot three people within 48 hrs of being released. How about the two men serving life in FL that are on the loose. Dead people cannot kill again.

There was a time in this country when people were held accountable. Rape, Kidnapping and Murder were death sentences.

Thats back when things were ruled by common sense instead of the insane system (congress) we ave now!

Are you thinking of our infamous too fat to hang murderer Micheal Rupe right here in Washington? Hanging determined to be "cruel and unusual" due to his obesity!

Cost a million bucks for his third trial ALONE, at which the jury finally put an end to the bleeding by deadlocking on the death issue, permanently derailing the State-Funded Lawyers' Gravy Train. Automatic life by default.

He died in prison in 2006, TWENTY-FIVE YEARS after the murders he was guilty of.

We came through Arizona and New Mexico just a few days after the prison break, and stopped a campgrounds long the way. We had just returned from Vancouver Island, where the two elderly Canadians has apparently also been murdered.
These two incidents highlighted a few things about RVers and criminals.
What do those on the run need?
1. Food
2. Clothing
3. Money
4. Vehicle
What do RVers have readily available?
1. Food
2. Clothing
3. Money (in varying amounts, or credit cards)
4. Vehicle (TOAD, tow vehicle, whatever)
RVers are extremely vulnerable. Many are older, and could offer little resistance to determined and possibly armed criminals.
Many RVers pull into a rest stop for a quick nap, a lunch break, etc. Even at an RV park, they are still not safe. At the first park where we over-nighted, I looked around at my surroundings and realized just how unprotected we were.
The key, or at least a method to lessen risk, is for us all to be very aware of our surroundings. From what I have heard about the Oklahoma couple, both were armed; however, the criminals first took the wife who was walking the dog, then forced the husband to surrender. They then killed them both.
