I regret not photographing the layout so I could post it but I have never seen anyone get so upset about blocking access to pumps when the fact is the pumps were not being blocked.
They were not blocked at the time but someone may need access while you are waiting in line to pay for your mayo. In addition parking next to a building or not in a designated parking spot can be a situation where a Fire Marshall can cite as well.
I hate manuevering in gas stations because someone will not park in designated spots which leaves narrow areas to move around in. Yes it is an inconvenience to park in a designated spot but that's what they are designed for.
I was not the only person that was in the wrong, there was a car carrier loaded up with about a dozen new cars that was parked in the same area I had planned on parking in, I just figured that the guy driving the car carrier was probably doing the same thing I was going to do and maybe he was just making a quick stop for a bathroom break, soda or maybe a sandwich. I parked with the rear of my camper about 50 to 100 feet in front of his front bumper, we were both about 10 feet away from the curb of the sidewalk. I didn't want to get into a silly argument about where I parked and although there are good days where I can probably walk more than a couple miles but on this particular day walking about 1,000 from my truck to the store and walking another 1,000 feet back to my truck would have been too painful for my knees to handle.
