Hauling a jeep cherokee with Class C V8

We've put a down on a 2011 (2010 chassis) Cruise America Class C 23A RV. It's the Ford E-350 V8 SuperDuty. We plan to flat haul a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (3194#) behind it and use a Brakemaster system.

Cruise America's FAQs says we can haul up to 3500# with the Class III hitch that it includes, so we're okay on hauling the jeep if we don't load it up with stuff. I'm waiting to hear from the dealer what the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) is for the unit so I can be sure we're under that and I plan to have the combo weighed.

Any comments/suggestions on towing the jeep and using the Brakemaster?

I never think about GVW when on a towbar. If you can pull it, and stop it, whats to worry about ? It has no hitch weight, and can only pull as hard as a V-10 can pull, thats not going to pull the hitch off the rig, is it ? Weight ratings are for trailers that could get the tail waggin the dog. The weight rating is for handling reasons, and stopping reasons.

Towed various jeeps for lots of years. I would weigh the jeep and not take any name plate data or trust anyone's word for it. I would see for myself.

Well Sir,
It seems you're pretty confident about what your Jeep Cherokee weighs based on your statements of hitch capacity. I don't want to sound like I'm doubting you but, have you actually weighed your Cherokee to make sure it's the weight you're thinking it is? If you have and, you already know all this, then forget all I'm saying here.

If you're sure about the weight thing, then you should be in fine shape towing it with your class C E-350. We towed regular Jeep Wranglers that were built for Rock Crawling with our 27' Class C with the 460 and those darn things tipped the scales at almost 5,000 lbs due to the additional equipment that was added or, substituted.

As for your brake equipment question, I can't help you with that. I'm only familiar with Ready Brake and, M & G Braking systems. Both of which are outstanding braking systems and are not nearly as complicated as many others.
