Help! Lippert six point

If anyone can help with problem it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to move my trailer and the lippert six point will not retract the landing gear. It extends it as I had to lift up the trailer to mate to the hitch but it will not retract. I tried looking up the manual online and it said to remove the taped on conver on the motor and use a drill with a 1/4 inch bit to etract or extend the gear. Problem is Ive been using a drill and running it counter clockwise and the gear just does not move. Is this the right way,? does it take tens of minutes for the gear to move up? what options do I have? Thanks

There are docs up on the Lippert site that explain (with pictures) how to manually run the pump to extend/retract the landing gear/slides/levelers with a drill. The key step is to manually close the appropriate hydraulic valve (use a hex wrench) that controls the item you want to move. Then, spin the pump one direction to extend or the other way to retract. If you don't close that valve, spinning the pump will do nothing.

It makes sense that there should have been a valve to close and then using the drill for the retraction. I pulled off the only instructions on the net that I could find and they seemed generic insofar as explaining that. I have five slides (3 hydraulic) and the six point leveling system. The mail lines go into the valve manifold. From there it looks like one leg splits off for the three slides as there are three 'buttons' or 'knobs' for them. On the manifold there are solenoids with power running to them and they have a hex screw on them from what I can see, perhaps that's what you are talking about? Thanks.

What did you learn about the drill method (in case jumping the relay doesn't work in the future)?

I didn't ask the repairman but when lippert opens up next week I'm going to call and also see if they will send me the relay as the trailer is under warranty. Dutchmen says camping world is the closest repair facility but that's a joke when the don't have mobile dispatch and the trailer can't be moved.

The slide on the other hand will have to be something they do. It doesn't sit level and the top seal on the inside has a gap.

Go to manual mode (up and down buttons until it reads "Manual Mode").

Press enter.

Press retract (light should be lit next to retract button).

Then press front or back to retract front 2 or rear 4.

BTW, make sure your hooked up first or at least have chocks down at the tires.

Did you try this before you went to the drill?

Thank you and I did. Ended up calling a repairman and be had to jumper the relay to make it work. I guess there is a two part relay in one housing that controls the pump. The one relay for down worked fine while the other was burned out so he jumpered it and I used the control head to raise them. When I got to the new park it would not auto level but did go down. Hopefully I can get a part number on the relay and order it. Thanks for all the help and its now off to a separate issue with a slide. Rv life is ts for the weak!

My 6 point wouldn't retract once and only would extend, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it started working fine. It just needed to reset.

it will extend the front gear but will not retract any of the gear, front or rear etc. its like the motor is burned out on the retract side if that's possible. Not sure how to manually retract them but I did try and use the drill method on the pump motor but the gear will not budge. Is there another valve of some time that I need to turn to bleed the pressure off before they will start to retract using the drill on the pump method?

Are you in manual mode? It will extend the front but wont do anything else unless you go to manual
