Home fill oxygen

Does anyone use the Invacare home fill oxygen attachment to their Invacare concentrator in the RV? Just wondering how you like doing that to fill your own bottles instead of getting bottles of oxygen delivered from a provider. Talking about small bottles to take with during day trips. Any pros or cons?
  • Thank you for your comments.

Would like a portable oxygen concentrator, but Medicare won't pay for it. They will pay for the home fill unit. We don't want to put out the money for the POC, so we'll try the home fill unit for now.
  • I use mine a lot!
We stay in our 5th wheel 2 or more weeks at a time and sometimes a month or more. I put the concentrator w/homefill in the RV and the home fill and never worry about not having o2 if away from home!
The portable oxygen concentrators that weigh only a few pounds might be an option also if your looking for mobility!
  • Great. Thanks for your comments. I think we'll go for it.
  • YES............. Use it for my wife and it's great. She can get about 4-5 hours out of an M tank with auto-regulator
  • I do not, but have a good friend who does. He likes to boondock quite a bit and runs his concentrator and home fill off of his Honda 2000i.

This allows him the freedom to be away delivery options, etc., while allowing him the freedom to move about the campsite and day trips away from the concentrator.

He talked quite a bit about it and was pretty happy with the setup.
