Very doubtful unless you have a small unit, 10K btu or less. I've tried it with my 13.5K BTU and the compressor will turn on, but it doesn't cool very well. I think you'll need at least 3000 watts.

For the vast majority of RV's a since 2,000W generator will not run the A/C. Pairing two same brand 2,000's most often will.
