hot water tank issue.

2005 coachmen 24foot travel trailer.
(searched and searched no luck finding help)

after winterizing(with air compressor)now all filled up and camping.the hot water isn't coming out.


Using the pump, hot water tank is working(propane, and tank is hot), pump is pumping great.


If he 3 way valve is straight the cold water works fine, but when i turn on hot the water bearly comes out.

If the 3 way valve is at the 90 degree water flows fine but it's cold

If i have the 3 way valve between the 2 it gets hot then cold then hot then cold.

I changed the shut off valve but same problem.

Conodor - Sorry I am not familiar with this type of three way valve... I will see if i can find out something with google search

NOTE - Looks this is just a value that either selects the hot water heater or a hose that you can stick down inside a pink antifreeze port. I am assuming the middle position is OFF... Maybe this description listed here will make more sense to you then me since you have one

Roy, the above pic is how mine is set up. From what i see online in the upright position(90 degree mark) is when the hot water should be coming out. but it's just cold water in this position. is this the correct position?

this check valve. is that the brass fitting where the plastic goes to at the top of the hot water tank?

This is a typical winterizing setup. Almost sounds like the valves are not in the correct position...

If your water heater bypass has only one 3-way valve, the hot water outlet near the top of the tank has a check valve, which may be stuck in the closed position.
