I did, but I was being a smart ass because the girl the first time was being a twit. this is the problem with talking a comercial walk around and just aplying it to a rv setting with out changing things to make sence. one of the thing is to check your oil pressure, how many stock vehicles have oil pressure guages now days, I did say if I had a oil pressure guage I would be checking it when I did mine. basicly memorize the list and for the things you dont have tell them if you had it you would be checking it but you don't so..... but for the suspension I think if you just check for play in the steriong then crank the wheels one way so you can look at it you should be fine for the front. you should be bending down and looking for leaks under the whole vehicle though, and dont forget to go in the trailer and tell them your checking that all the apliances are off and doors secured, and so on....

Reciprocity agreements etc.- ssthrdExplorerAs a follow up, I took the drivers test this morning, and it was really just a piece of cake. The ICBC guide turned out to be the bible for the pre-trip, and the road test was a drive through city streets with lots of turns both left and right, and at the end I had to back into an abandoned parking lot with about a 30 foot wide entrance. Easy peasy.
I screwed up the last part a bit by not getting out to check the ground where he wanted me to go (which I always do, but had a brain fart this time) and I backed up maybe 10' before sounding the horn.
Backing up a 5er (for me at least) is a lot different than backing a TT. I am getting used to it now, but the first couple of times the trailer turned in before I expected it to, and I couldn't catch up to it fast enough to git er done.
Anyway.... This one is in the books. Thanks for your help, Guys.

EDIT: I whittled a stick with a crotch on the end to put between the steering wheel and the brake pedal so I could check the brake lights myself. The examiner thought that was brilliant! Lol. - ssthrdExplorerAny port in a storm, they say........... :)

haha, ya that would work but I dont like the idea of crming a 2x4 against my fancy leather seats. and sence we have to have the roadside marker kit when you have the house trailer endorsment, its not a big deal to add mirror.

- StirCrazyModeratorno just know the list by heart. vocaly tell them everything you check as you check it. little tip if you have a mirror on some sort of stand take that and place it behind your camper where you willbe able to see your brake and tail lights as you test them from the truck. other wise there is no way to check your brake lights by your self and my tester got a little snippy when I asked her to tell me if my brake lights were working. she is the one that sugested having a mirroe so I wcould do it myself.
