I agree entirely... But so many people dismiss vinegar after they have run out of sugar... As Mary Poppins said "A _spoonful_ of sugar helps the medicine go down". A small amount of sugar should, with reasonable people, be all that is necessary. Unreasonable people will require vinegar. The amount and type will vary but it does have the desired effect if you are open to every flavor of vinegar.
PS: Talking of vinegar - always put Malt Vinegar on your English fish and chips... Drown them in the vinegar first and lightly salt after... Doing it the other way around washes off the salt... ;-)
