If you can afford a 50k+ RV, do your fellow travelers a favor and spring for a appropriate generator. A 3000w contractor gen belongs on a job site not with your RV. Casino RV overnight parking area. Spaces very close together. These fine folks had a very nice fifth wheel, looked like they were staying awhile. Had a nice little pet corral set up three feet into the next space. Ran their gen till 10:30 last night and started again at 7:30 this morning. Felt sorry for their neighbors. We were 5 slots down and had to keep windows closed.

Most people around here would take a aluminum bat to you for trying to steal a generator. What if you caught someone pouring water into your truck tank, would you think that was acceptable?

You are bound and determined to argue about items that are not the thrust of my point aren't you? This leads me to believe that you are one of those that my point is railing against.

Good luck with the baseball bat. I carry 37 9mm 124gr Jacketed Hollow Point rounds and the means to discharge them with the benefit of 10 years "tip of the spear" military experience to ensure they are properly and effectively utilized. Generally my demeanor, should it turn from the normally fun and harmless person I usually am to my alter ego, is sufficient to cause people to hesitate. The sudden appearance of a firearm usually guarantees a second thought on their behalf. You'll notice though that despite the fact I do carry everywhere I legally may I did not advocate any form of violence until you decided that I would be attacked with a baseball bat - that, my dear lad, is called self defense.

As to pouring water into my truck... OK, I'll entertain your silliness. Firstly, my truck doesn't get left running for extended periods of time day or night. Secondly, and you know this but you're just being obtuse, my truck doesn't sound like a contractors Genny. Lastly, bleeding a Genny is a lot easier than purging an F-150 EcoBoost and pouring water into the system would have the police called immediately.

Sitting back with a beer and some popcorn and awaiting your next obtuse and silly response... Conversely, you could address the thrust of my posts that being that people who allow bad behavior by doing nothing are granting permission for said behavior and making it worse for people down the line because the offenders begin to think the behavior is acceptable. Or is there a flaw in my proposition?

No, I really didn't miss your point and no I really didn't advocate muscle over intellect. I suggested that a polite request to cease an annoying activity is a reasonable first step, (the sugar). I then suggested, by using intellect, that since gas floats on water a pint of water in the gas tank of the offending Genny is a viable additional step, (the vinegar). The only muscle required in each activity is the ability to walk to their campground followed by the ability to walk to their campground with a pint of water and unscrew the gas cap. No _damage_ is done so using the word "sabotage" is a bit sensationalistic don't you think?

I answered your prior post by pointing out that I don't carry sufficient provisions to feed and further lubricate the gang of drunks in question so that option is not viable to me.

The point I was trying to make is that too many people will try the sugar and when that fails they are out of options because they don't have the courage to move on to the less palatable options even if that is only reporting the offenders to the Rangers or Police for fear of retribution. Heck, some won't even try the sugar they are so lily livered. The point being that too many people will not stand up for what is right any more and by not doing so are passively encouraging the bad behavior and giving the offenders a feeling that their actions are actually acceptable when they clearly aren't.

Sometimes it's better to use your head instead of your brawn. A few years back a poster on this forum had some loud drunks camped next to him. He asked they quiet down to no avail. He went into his RV and made some meatball subs and handed them out to the offenders. They were sound asleep within 30 minutes. The next morning they were very friendly.

My sister always told me you can catch more flies with honey then you can with vinegar.

To the people that suggest sabotaging generators or other items you are committing a felony and could lose your right to vote or own weapons and are subject to jail time and will carry a criminal record.

No you don't want to do damage or make anyone mad. Tt's important to find a creative way to get the message across though. I agree entirely... But so many people dismiss vinegar after they have run out of sugar... As Mary Poppins said "A _spoonful_ of sugar helps the medicine go down". A small amount of sugar should, with reasonable people, be all that is necessary. Unreasonable people will require vinegar. The amount and type will vary but it does have the desired effect if you are open to every flavor of vinegar.

PS: Talking of vinegar - always put Malt Vinegar on your English fish and chips... Drown them in the vinegar first and lightly salt after... Doing it the other way around washes off the salt... 😉

I tend to only carry sufficient food and drink for my party so feeding or further lubricating a bunch of drunks isn't in the cards.

Why do so many people lack the intestinal fortitude to stand up for their own rights? A polite request to cease an annoying and inconsiderate act isn't difficult or illegal. Pouring water into the gas tank of a Genny isn't "sabotage" since no harm is actually done - it just needs bleeding but if you had previously made a polite request that was ignored you are only inconveniencing them about the same as they have inconvenienced you.

Your sister is right and I agree with her entirely. What you fail to understand is that if sugar fails to have the desired effect vinegar is not out of the question. Limiting yourself to sugar means you are approaching problems in a limited fashion. All potential solutions must remain on the table at all times and you have to be able to execute them or they are not viable options.

Another way less appealing of course is to order this little bottle of stink they sell on the net. Cannot remember the website, but just a few drops and the obnoxious people are guaranteed to leave.

One hard working tenant in an apartment complex was forced to try it on college kids in the apartment downstairs. Frequent Parties into the wee hours and a manager that did not much about it. It was one early summer morning when he found A window open when all were asleep. All it took was a short squirt thru the screen and didn't take long for them to wake up with everyone out on the sidewalk wondering what the most god awful smell was. He said they all moved away within a day.

My grandparents had a tenant who when drunk abused his wife. One night when he was sleeping it off she placed a hot steam iron on his bare chest. That put a stop to it.
