How do YOU start your campfire?

I have a furnace in my sticks and bricks house but still enjoy a fire in the fireplace during the winter or in the fire pit on the patio anytime. To me, watching a fire is very relaxing and a good way to unwind from the day. I love to hear the crackling of the wood and enjoy watching the flame. I guess I'm old fashioned. ;)
