Got my 30ft 50amp extension cord made.I don't want to just throw it into a storage booth. Did that in our old 5th wheel but it was a 30amp and the cord was not near as heavy. I did this for now until I can come up with something different or maybe this is the best option.It can hold the 50amp cord-dog bone and my 2 25ft 12gage extension cords.

I use packing cubes to store cords and hoses. The cords fit easily and the cubes take up less room than hard-sided containers.

Looks like a great fit by my standards. As you go through life, look for a slightly shorter bucket perhaps if that would help as you stow it away.

We used a heavy duty clothes basket in which we coiled the 50 amp cord. The built in handles made it easier for one or two persons to carry. I wish I could claim credit for the idea but I saw a fellow camper using it.

I will sugest that the connecting ends be pluged so that while being stored they do not deteriorate and make bad a connection, this storage method is good just make shure that if it rains water does not sagnate in the bottom.I roll the extention and clamp a plastic hand cuff purchased at Home Despot.navegator

Ditto, works great. Drilled a hole or two in the bottom to drain out water. Easier for me to carry than a one handle bucket.

Is there not room in the same "booth" where your attached cord resides ?

Then.....where do you put the bucket ??

I think I would lay it in a compartment in a figure 8 pattern like my main cord does. Weight is not a factor when you snake it in a few feet at a time.

With any travel trailer we've owned I moved the spare tire to the front pass through cargo compartment and would then store my main service cable extensions in the spare tire wheel well, making use of otherwise unused space. K.I.S.S. :p

I'm one of the minority who doesn't store the cord. My trailer stays plugged in 24/7 when parked at home. Been doing that for 5 years now.
