- azdryheatExplorerIn a sense, we used to. We would tow the trailer to Roosevelt Lake near Phoenix and set up camp. We would then fetch our boat from nearby storage, use it for the period we were camped, and then return it to storage.
- Bionic_ManExplorerAlmost all of our camping is done at a lake. In fact, this will be the first year in over 10 that we are doing a big trip with just the RV and no boat.
- dewey02Explorer IIWe take our porta-bote almost all the time. You never know when you will come upon a good lake or river! 12 foot folding rowboat that attaches to the side of our travel trailer. Only 4 inches wide when folded.
- JIMNLINExplorer IIIThe wife and I did the COE lake camping/fishing just about all our adult life (since the late '40s).
We double towed our boats with three different 5th wheel trailers. Before the 5th wheel trailer came along we had truck campers and pulled our boats headin' for the lake orr the river. - dewey02Explorer IIdouble post
- Cloud_DancerExplorer IIWe have, available to us, 2 lake locations in Louisiana, one in Oklahoma, one in Arkansas, one in South Carolina, 3 in Texas, and 2 in New Mexico, where we can tow the bassboat to with the motorhome. These places are owned by friends or family members. These places have hookups for the motorhome, and space for the boat trailer and for our 4x4 GMC Envoy. I drive the motorhome (towing the boat), and my wife follows in the Envoy. We love to fish, but when we travel for non-fishing purposes, we tow the Envoy.
- nineoaks2004ExplorerI usually get the DW to bring the boat over when I go to our favorite CG, if not I also have 2 canoes and a rack I made for the Pick Up, also I have a 10 ft. plastic pontoon boat that I slide in the bed of the Pick up on the canoe rack.

Haha, same here. Tow the TT to lake pleasant camp spot with electric and water, set it up then go back for the boat. Only 35 min drive from N Phoenix to the lake.
