Do the same thing we all did some 20-30 + years ago when those same roads existed and the same services existed, but there where a lot more pay phones around then too...
I didn't really worry about things like this when I was in my 50's, but a dozen years later, things have changed. I really do fear being without phone service and having to do something like change a tire in 100° heat. I could do it, but it would be way more exhausting than it used to be.
And pets can make these problems more stressful.
