Evacuations are currently underway from most of the East coast of Florida. No reports of gasoline shortages have been reported as yet, although grocery shelves are reported bare. It was reported that the state parks will be closed, although that has not been verified. The Ocala Natal Forest campground at Salt Springs has ordered everyone to be out by Thursday. 12:00 pm and will not reopen until next Tues. Orlando, the home of Mickey Mouse is now under a Hurricane Watch.
If you are one of the evacuees, there are still spaces available in some of the larger private campgrounds on the West Coast, but they are filling up fast. We are at the Sun And Fun in Sarasota and they still have space available.
If you elect to stay in place and ride this one out, then take it from an old Flordian, be prepared to give your butt to the Lord.
