I was About To Learn Something And Then POOF

A recent thread on tires was started by a generous poster who was passing on his knowledge of tires. I was reading his posts and actually learning about tires when POOF the whole thread was removed because of the actions of a handful of people.

It is very sad what this forum becomes sometimes. I am also not sure why the Moderator couldn't just let his informative posts remain while only removing the bickering. Things like this are what drives people away from this forum.

I have every respect for Roger Marble and his blog. No one else on the internet has gone to the effort he has to help and inform RVers on tires like he has, yet there are always some that have nothing better to do than criticize others and ruin it for everyone else. I really hope Roger comes back to continue with what he set out to do. Why would he banned, he said nothing whatsoever to aggravate anyone.

I completely agree what a few posters on that thread said about experienced professionals not wanting to post anything based on their own professional training and experience only to get shat on by some that have no idea what they're talking about.

Did they also ban the jackals?

I too wanted to see what he had to say.

Why can;t people let others talk and then just disregard
what they do not agree with? They will do that anyway.

I have seen many things on forms that were opposite
of my experience. Maybe what did not work for me worked
for someone else.

Maybe it is an ego thing for gust a childish mind.

To bad. We all could have learned something about tires and probably other related things as well.

There are some folks that say they want help or advice or information and they just will not let it happen. This is seen a lot on the forum regarding RV refrigerators.

Reading this website, I can't quite figure out if it's a commercial or pseudo-commercial website. If it is a website of that type, perhaps forum rules prohibit using of these forums as kindof an extension of commercial leaning websites. Reading in the link above, there's a whole lot of RV tire information that probably covers all that would have been discussed in these forums, anyway. 🙂

What a shame. What usually happens is that those that make the most noise ruins it for others. They should've been banned instead.

I guess it happens sometimes. Although I try not to, sometimes I have a bad day, then post badly comments. It happens when things get a little too heated. Little slap on the hand by having one removed is a reminder to play a little nicer. After all, we're all playing in someone else's sandbox, gotta play by their rules. Lesson learned by all of us.

Per a post elsewhere he has been banned. Reason unknown.
