I am a truck driver and have seen this many times, normally it is a smallish boat they are towing behind the trailer. Believe it or not it is legal in almost every state as long as the combined weight is not over the CGVW of the tow vehicle. That said. It is not smart, towing doubles should be left to truck drivers. I can not tell you the number of accidents I have seen involving RVs of all sorts. Most of which were caused by a lack of experienced driving something of the size and weight of their RV rig.
