- charles7aExplorerHave you towed your Daihatsu Rocky yet? Did you follow the owners manual instructions your posted and stop every 200 miles to drive it?
- Gonzo42ExplorerWell, I found it in the owner's manual:
1. Parking brake must be released.
2. Transmission must be placed in NEUTRAL position.
3. Transfer case must be placed in the 2H position.
4. Ignition key must be placed in the ACC position.
5. Free wheeling hubs or automatic hubs must be placed in the FREE position.
CAUTION Stop every 200 miles and drive the vehicle 0.2 miles.
There are other items listed which don't apply to this particular vehicle. - Gonzo42ExplorerWell we found one and bought it. What's the procedure for flat towing?
- Couldn't remember model earlier. It was the Monterro and Dodge Raider.
- colochoclabExplorerWe used to have a 1990 Rocky SX that my wife bought new. It was a solid and dependable little SUV. No frills or thrills, pretty basic. It did have a manual transmission with a manual transfer case with neutral, so I *think* it could be towed 4-down.
Parts? Forget it. Even when new, getting parts for it was tough, even air filters was a dealer-only item. Nowadays? Eh. With on-line searching, it could be different. - donn0128Explorer IIOops your right.
- Dodge sold Rocky take offs?
Sure they were no Mitsubishi? - donn0128Explorer IIThey are orphans, so some parts would only be availble used. Common wear parts should be available. Remember Dodge sold a clone around the same time. You might also look at Suzuki Sidekick if your buying.
