Interesting RV Concept

How is this particularly different than any smallish fifth wheel hooked up to a Tesla truck? The main gist of the article seemed to be the idea that one could electrically power an RV from the truck's battery bank, which seems rather a given assuming there's an AC inverter option available.

(For boondocking, I'd prefer a unit with toilet facilities. Perhaps a bathroom is supposed to be in the portion of the rendering that's been cut away.)

I agree that a potty, shower and sink would be nice.

It should be interesting. The truck essentially has no frame as it gets its strength from the geometric design. Not sure how that will lend itself to the 5th wheel hitch installation unless Tesla itself installs it. Still, the rendering is kinda cool. My wife has a reservation for one but I think we are pretty far down the list. I suspect we are a few years from having to make that decision. Good lol mi bc truck though.

Yah it’s a render. I get the impression the article is more about the possibility of plugging the trailer into the truck for shore power.

And plugging the truck into shore power to recharge??

We had basic trailers since the Model T, this contraption is just a basic cramped style of traveling similar to that of years ago.

I don’t know. Little trailers are super popular up here. People tend to look for 24 feet and under do they can get them into the provincial parks. Not only that, most trucks are half tons. And a lot of people here tow with SUV’s or crossovers.
