Jayco Pin to Nose Distance

I'm completely new to 5th wheels (previously owned a TT, a hybrid, and a couple of pop-ups), and I'm setting up my Pull-Rite Superglide hitch.

I have the hitch pin clamp set directly over axle, as it's supposed to be, and I have 40" from where the pin would be to the back window of the truck. If that's enough clearance, I'll torque the bolts and be ready to take delivery. I have about 6"-8" of bolt holes (in 1" increments" that I could move it further back, if I need to, but that brings the hitch behind the axle.

The Jayco literature gives an overall measurement of 42'-7", and a pin to bumper measurement of 41"-1", so I could presume that the pin to nose measurement would be 1"-6", but I want to be sure.

Am I good where it is? Or should I move the hitch assembly back?

I take delivery the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but I'm going away for 6 days between now and then, so I'd like to get this done, and not have to worry about it.

Thank you for any assistance!!

5th wheel hitch should be mounted so that king pin is directly over or slightly forward of rear axle.

Trailer length doesn't matter. Trailer width and location of king pin are what matters in regards to turning radius

Design of trailer front cap also comes into play. Some are flat, some rounded and some have scoops/scallops in them that allow for better clearance.

Trailer is 8' wide (96") so 48" would be radius but type of hitch and king pin location can make big difference in turning radius.

HERE is info from Superguide on hitch/king pin distance and set up

You should be good at 40" (directly over rear axle)
Is it time for your medication or mine?
