Keep it or trade it?

So we had an issue with our 5th wheel, water damage. I
In the process of repairing the floor, the rig has delamination. We are putting allure flooring in and remiving all carpet. We bought the rig used a couple of years ago for 19k with the hope of keeping it a while. The 2007 Montanna is a nice rig with a bunk house, but certainly not liking the renovation work. Anyway, if we decided to trade it in would a dealer accept the trade? If so, how much of a loss would I expect? I have no loan on the unit (my original goal) , but I'm afraid the decreased in value will sure make my last couple of years of camping really expensive. Thoughts?

I believe it is "Love it or list it". But not about RV's.

    HDTV? You mean HGTV?
  • Get at least 3 quotes for fixing the delamination. Then run the numbers. I think you will find if you try and trade in the RV without fixing the problems, you will get hardly anything for it. We went through this whole analysis when we had sidewall checking and found the only permanent fix was to replace the sidewalls and repaint the whole coach. Ow! But we ended up having the work done and keeping the coach.
  • We had delamination on our 5er. Was about $1500 to repair the sides. Cheaper for us than trading. Check it out, look for a fiberglass repair or boat repair place.
