Its too damp to paint in the mornings so this morning I made a rock bench down at the pond. This is sand stone country. I find (my 7' Rhino mower finds them sticking up out of the ground) rocks 6-8" thick X 12-14" wide X 36-38" long. I cut up RR ties to support both ends.
The first one I dug up with the loader was shaped kinda' like a poor mans head stone we sometimes see at older cemeteries. The next one came from the same area so I got with the county folks to see if a cemetery was on my 40 acres. No cemetery but around statehood time it was quarried.
I cut/split/sell firewood in the winter months. Just sold the last 4 ricks yesterday.
I cleared another 15 acres (trees/brush) or so for more hay production. I've got all the trees all bucked to length. This coming Friday were looking at the 40s for a high so thats the day I can split and stack the green wood for next years firewood.
With 40 acres there is always some thing to do...when I want to.
Then the wife always has these honey-do projects. Were both 78...good health and enjoying life.
