Hey....the factory installs them, they *ARE* "Special Trailer" Tires, cousin Joe has had them on his trailer for five years with no problems, my tire dealer said......, etc., etc. (or yada, yada)..:R

As you should. That process is effective for older units with an oxidized finish. Kind of a "last resort". I assume your 2012's finish is not in that condition and can still benefit from other measures. Good luck in your endeavor!

When it cools down in a month or two, I'll try Wash Wax All on one side and The Solution on the other side. From your description it may be one or the other.

The buffer does not see me much but it is happy to see me.

We use The Solution. We wash the RV and easily apply the liquid with a spray bottle and wipe it dry. No rubbing, no effort and our 10 year old motorhome shines. It's used after every wash and since it's sprayed on it goes a long way. We first bought it at a RV rally.

PoliGlow isn't a one step process. First you have to use a stripper solution to remove all the old wax, dirt and such. The you need to apply PoliGlow and it usually takes 5or 6 coats before it really starts to shine. It's not easy, but it's well worth it.

Right. Which is, as I stated, a similar process to Zep, which also takes multiple steps. Definitely not a "lazy man's" process, especially if you do it right. If you don't, you can forever complain about what a bad idea it is! :W

One other thing I like about Zep. When the decals became ratty on the white sidewalls, I removed them and used the turtle wax glue/label remover. Then cleaned the area using Barkeepers Friend.

Using the Zep, it's hard to see where the decals were.

I used Red Pro Max pn mine a couple of years ago and it still looks awsome. It's exposed to the hot Georgia Sun all the time.

I managed to catch a clearance sale at Lowes when they stopped carrying it. Wound up with a gallon pail for $5.00.

I'm adding another 2-3 coats in a couple of weeks once this heat wave breaks.

I agree, it was ZEP! Just make sure you are buying the right kind of ZEP.

It may have been Wash Wax All by Aero Cosmetics, a product originally designed for airplanes. It's a one step process, spray it on and wipe off with microfiber cloth that affixes to a long pole or just a microfiber cloth. There are videos on their website. It was recommended to me by an acquaintance that owned an rv repair shop for over 30 years. We really like it, it beads up when rained on. We spray the front cap with water to remove those travel bugs, they come right off.
