leak above driver door window ....question

hello..I have a leak coming from the window above the driver door in my motor home. It seems to be coming from metal framing around window. I purchased DAP caulking, then I began to wonder if there was any special caulking I should use since its a motor home not a stick house? The outside of the frame has a rubber seal around it, I assume I apply caulking under the rubber? THANK YOU!
  • If you have a window leaking, the only fix is to remove the window, clean the area, apply a layer of butyl putty tape, reinstall the window. Once it is secured and the excess putty is removed, apply a bead of Dicor for verticle surfaces around three sides of the window.
Both the Dicor and butyl putty tape can be found at any RV parts house.
