Leveling my trailer. Do things settle?

I took my initial level setting by placing a bubble level in the freezer. I marked a spot on the counter that shows the same reading as in the freezer and take my reading from there when camping. I noticed today that this reading is now way off from the freezer. Do things shift around over time?

Even two spots in the freezer show different readings. I took the average. Seems like absolutely nothing is level in this thing ๐Ÿ™‚

Why do you need to be absolute level...close is good enough. I always leave mine slightly nose high and awning side high. That way I can control where the AC condensation goes. But yes settling does occur, materials (frame, floor wood, etc. expand and contract at different rates.

Just get the thing comfy to walk in and don't worry about "level"

Ok. I don't know what kind of quality a Komfort is, perhaps it's the frame. In the absence of any other causes, like a flat tire, I guess that's it. Bummer.

I marked a spot on the freezer and a spot on the counter that, at one point, used to show the same. The freezer says dead center, while the counter shows a significant side-to-side shift. This is without my stabilizers down, which I know can twist the frame and cause this. Maybe my frame is just twisted. I noticed today that it's difficult for me to lock the deadbolt unless my slide is out. :h

This is a 15 year old trailer, BTW

I'm stumped. Never had settling like that..at least not in a short time frame.

It's on gravel. I know that the gravel will settle, but I still expected the same reading between my two points that used to be the same. Unless the settling of the gravel causes the frame to twist. I do notice that when I'm on gravel, on different days, I have an issue locking the deadbolt on the door, indicating that it's slightly twisting the frame?

On dirt sand and even on pavement the ground under the wheels and the jacks will settle in, always place some kind of pad under the jacks, to spread the load, after a couple of months you need to re-level, and if it rains the ground will soften and the settling will be faster, only on a good concrete pad will it stay level, pavement is not firm, it is a bunch of rocks with glue, hot weather and the pavement becomes soft and the RV settles.

The internals will flex and bow over time, and even as the frame twists slightly during leveling.

I just get it close and comfortable. I just place a torpedo level on the trailer frame on the tongue to get my front-back, and across the frame to get side to side. I did learn that the ripples in the siding on the nose are perfect to the frame, so I jam a level against the siding for my side-side leveling.

Unless your on pavement of some sort, I think it will settle some.
