My slide(s) mfg. also recommends no lube..........as in grease
Just wire brush rail teeth
BUT...
Since beginning of 2007 I have been using a dry graphite lube spray after wire brushing the rail teeth down. Goes on wet/sticks then drys. Doesn't attract dirt/grim BUT will rub off SO Careful Where you spray it.
Also use it on rear stabilizers pivot/contact areas and front landing gear inner and driven legs.
I spray silicone on a clean rag and wipe down the hydraulic piston shaft.
When FTng I would do the above monthly......past 2 yrs just bi-yearly
Also would put talcum powder in a sock and wipe down slide out seals/wipers
