I don't know about the effectiveness of Listerene, but I would not put a whole lot of weight on anything snopes says. It has been proven that it is a husband & wife team the never leave their house to verify information. As a matter of fact, look at their references listed on the page the link was provided to. Newspaper Articles. Nothing scientific. Now if they had listed a couple of university studies.........
