Loading my Golf Car into the bed of my 3500 Dodge TV

I built my own ramps from a couple of 2x10 boards left over from building my garage. I attached a couple of special end pieces on each board which are designed to fit over the end of the tailgate of my truck and saved a lot of money.

I purchased arched folding ramps (Yutrx brand)at Cabelas for $200 to load my quad in the truck. Total length is 83" and folded they take up very little room. They have straps to hook to the bumper to ensure they do not slide out with a load on them and total capacity is 2,500#. Totally happy with them and no issues with the angle when riding up or down.

Be sure to bring proof of liability insurance the campground we take our to requires it for golf carts. Nice to have a golf cart at a 300 acre campground. SC does allow them on the road within 4 miles of your home base & but also requires a DMV registration sticker if used on public roads.
Also some campgrounds only allow electric carts.

Have seen someone mount a winch in the bed of the truck so you do not have to ride the cart up & down the ramps.

First I would say your cart is closer to 1.000# as is my Club Car Precident. I have these folding arched ramps that work great click when you assemble them take time to take the sharp edges off the parts as they are made in China and the parts are sheared and stamped so the edges are pretty sharp and can cut you, use a fine side of a ol' farmer's file or a air sander or such. You need to put the arch up towards the tailgate of your truck and attatch the straps to the bumper then your good to go and as they fold storage isn't a problem, good luck!!

Very happy with our 90" HD RevArc Ramp (UTV). Should work with a cart.

We move our Yamaha G16 gas cart twice a year in the truck. I made my own 2" lift for the cart because it has a bolt hanging down in about the middle that is part if the rear suspension. It hung up on the tail gate with 8' straight board ramps. Arched ramps might cause an issue with rear seat foot rest if you have a rear seat. It really helps if you can position the truck with front wheels a little higher or have the ramps land on a spot that is higher than the truck. Chris

I have a 3 pc set of arched folding ramps that I use for loading my touring bike into my Ram. For unloading a golf cart I purchased recently I used the 2 outer sections and had no problems unloading it. The 2 combined have a #1500 rating and are very similar to the Highland brand 90" alum arched center fold ramps sold on Amazon.

All my experience is with my riding lawnmower. Being able to use 'topography' (i.e. your rear wheels are "in a hole" and the ramps go to higher ground or an embankment) makes things much much easier. I know that's not always available, but also it doesn't have to be a lot- but when a "hole" and/or embankment is available the process goes easier.

The longer the ramps, the better. Short ramps make for a VERY steep entry/exit to loading.

I have a set of 8' motorcycle ramps that I use to load my ATV. Tried with 6' and it was very un-nerving going backwards out of the bed to unload.
