Lolo National Forest Seeking Volunteer Campground Hosts

The Missoula Ranger District of the Lolo National Forest in West-Central Montana is looking for volunteer hosts for two campgrounds for the summer of 2018. Both campgrounds (Lolo Creek Campground and Lee Creek Campground) are located along scenic HWY 12. Both positions are unpaid but electricity, water, septic, garbage and local phone service are provided by the Forest Service. The season for Lolo Creek Campground runs from May 15 through September 30th and the Lee Creek season is May 15 through Labor Day. Hosts volunteer five days a week. A full season’s commitment is required. 3-4 hours per day/20 hours per week is a typical commitment.

For more information please contact Ryan McFarland at 406-329-3970 or email rmcfarland@fs.fed.us. Thanks for looking!
  • X2 - Lewis & Clark followed Lolo Creek on their westward journey in 1805, there's lots of history in this area and you will definitely enjoy exploring on your days off. Fishing is kind of so-so in Lolo Creek but there's lots of other streams and lakes waiting for you to give them a try. I first was in this area nearly sixty years ago and still love that part of the northwest.
