Looking for RV sized recliner (RV salvage yards?)

Thanks for the replies, looks like I should check out a furniture store first. I read the reviews on a couple that were suggested and they sound good, although there were several reviews that commented that the chair worked good for short people. I'm 6' 4" so I'll have to see how I fit. Not much can be done about it anyway as the available space is only so big in that small tt, and even a wooden stool would be more comfortable then that confounded jacknife sofa.

I would not fiddle with anything related to an RV. we tossed the hide a bed and got two Lazy boys 27" wide about 32 front to back. Fabric. Has held up very good

Most residential recliners have a removable back which makes it a lot easier to get through the door, a least I know lazy boy does.

We bought 2 of the Lazy Boy, small harbor Town recliners and they are junk. One has already been hauled to the dump and the other one is not far behind. The faux leather discolors very quickly and the cheap thin plywood footrest will not hold up to any weight.

We have a LANE recliner/rocker with a swivel added as extra. It's very small, like 3/4 size compared to my in-home Lazy-Boy recliner. The back has two rails with levers so the back can come off for easy hauling. It's in our house and fits my wife perfectly, she's 5'2" for me, at 6'0" it's a little short, but comfortable none the less. My wife sits in this chair daily for over 5 years and the fabric still looks like brand new. It's also got a 5 year warranty from LANE.

LANE makes the same chair in the wall hugger version, but you can't get the swivel with the wall hugger.

Lazy boy has a small wall hugging recliner that many rv owners use.

Check out Menards. We bought a recliner with a seperate matching ottoman for about $75. It resembles and office chair, but is lightweight enough to be flipped upside down onto a couch or bed for travel. Same goes for the ottoman.
