Low point drain just started leaking out of the blue?

Here is the story, I've been camping for the past two weekends the first weekend was fine no water leaking at all. That following Monday the camper went into the shop to get the outdoor speaker fixed and a new water heater element because this dummy burnt the first one up. So I went camping this weekend and the hot water low point was high but spraying water. So Teflon tape latter if has a drip and it's the best I could get it. I call the dealership this morning and they swear up and down they didn't touch it. I told him what is was doing and he said well that sounds like its cross treaded. I told them I never touched it and he told me they sometimes take a while to start leaking? Really come one now. It's like a 5 dollar fix so why don't they just own up to it.

Yes they could freeze. The only thing I did was remove the caps in the bottom pictures and replaced them with the valves in the top picture.

My valves are all located in the basement. Wouldn't locating them out side be inclined to freeze up if you got caught in cold temps.

Went to lowes, 1/2" PVC treaded pipe. Think each was a dollar something and plus the Teflon tape.

Finally got around to fixing the low points. Removed both end caps and one looked different than the other as it was missing the rubber gasket, I wonder how that happened. But anyways it's done and here is the finished product.

My leak also with the caps. Tried Teflon tape without success.

This is how I fixed the leak for good and I can always use the low points to drain my water tank and hot water heater.

What's the best way to remove the old metal clamp?

It's s shame that dealership is really close to the house guess I need to find another one incase something else goes wrong with the camper.

I am not going to say the dealership didn't do it. But coincidences do happen.

down has a point. It will cost you more in gas than it will cost you to fix it yourself.

Save your energy and frustration. It's not worth it. If they are going to quibble about a $5.00 fix, then I'd fix it myself and be done with it. It will be easier than hooking up and towing back to the dealer (and waiting).

A SharkBite fitting and you are done with it.
